About me
I teach English, literature, and humanities courses at Arapahoe Community College (ACC) in Littleton, Colorado. I've been working with OER for several years thanks to support from the Colorado Department of Higher Education and ACC's OER Advisory Committee.
I'm excited by the range and flexibility of OER, but I think some content areas are still lacking. For example, I was unable to find a comprehensive OER for a course in World Mythology even though all the texts and materials are available either in the public domain or with Creative Commons licensing. I am working to pull together these stray materials into a comprehensive OER using LibreTexts' versatile remixing tools (LibreTexts.org). I am interested in learning what other folks have done to either overcome or work around challenges in finding, developing, and using OER in the arts and humanities.
